September 13th: Infant Vitality – Health Disparity Forum

Every baby deserves to celebrate their first birthday. According to the Ohio Department of Health, the number of Ohio infants that died before their first birthday declined from 1,024 in 2016 to 982 in 2017. Despite the decrease, Ohio was the 43rd ranked state in infant mortality in 2017 and Black infants died at three times the rate as white infants.

September is Infant Mortality Awareness month.

Please join us in discussing the unique factors that lead to racial disparities in infant mortality and proactive initiatives developed to address them. This is the perfect opportunity to learn how you can participate in the effort to increase Infant Vitality in our community.
